Meshaei Destroyed My Life – Gouya Aydin (Interview)
Meshaei Destroyed My Life – (Interview)
Gouya Roshan (Güya Aydın )
It was about a month ago when I received an email that occupied my thoughts for a long time.
I couldn’t decide whether to respond or not. The email came from a reader who claimed to possess intriguing information about the private lives of Mr. Ahmadinejad, Esfandiar Rahim Meshaei, Esmail Mesoudi, and their associates.
At first, I hesitated, coming up with reasons in my mind to leave it unanswered—respect for privacy, impartiality, and so on. But on the other hand, my curiosity and my instincts as a journalist wouldn’t let me rest for a single moment.
In the end, I decided to respond to this email, telling myself: If this person trusted only me, the least I can do is listen to them. I could think about whether to publish it later.
I wrote back, and for the safety of all parties, we agreed to conduct the interview via video conference. The interview began on April 5, 2010.
The person appeared very calm—calmer than me, I might say.
They answered my questions very clearly and transparently, to the point that any journalist in my place would have undoubtedly believed their words.
That is why I decided to publish the interview.
Of course, as a journalist, I must also say: everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
Meeting Esfandiar Rahim Meshaei in 1993
In 1993, I applied to Serve Publishing House and met Esfandiar Rahim Meshaei there. Although the Tehran branch was officially managed by Abdollahi (Emirhani), because Meshaei often came to Tehran, the two decided that I would work at the publishing house.
I was the only staff member there. The place was a regular meeting point for governors of West Azerbaijan and Kurdistan provinces, including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
However, Meshaei’s behavior was very different.
He gave the impression of being fair and a true religious man—but I later discovered this was not the case.
Transfer to Urmia – Marriage Proposals
Meshaei called me and asked me to work at the main office in Urmia. Since I was unmarried, I immediately agreed.
Shortly after moving to Urmia, Meshaei proposed me as a wife for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Knowing his oppressive attitude toward the Kurdish people, I categorically rejected the proposal.
Later, the same suggestion was made again—this time for Saqqez governor Esmail Mesoudi. At first, I refused. But due to Meshaei’s insistence and Mesoudi’s behavior, I eventually agreed to marry him.
Ministry of Interior – Pressure and Investigations
After Meshaei took a position in the Ministry of Interior, he assigned me to projects with intelligence-related purposes.
Later, I was accused of leaking information about the project.
I was forced to resign, evicted from my home, and banned from entering the publishing house.
Afterwards, Meshaei threatened me:
“If I ever see you again, I will report you as a drug dealer.”
Marriage Nullified on Paper
I later found out that my marriage to Mesoudi did not officially exist in any government record—despite his name being listed as my spouse on my ID.
All my appeals were fruitless.
I met with the governor, submitted a letter, even stayed overnight at his residence—but the next morning, I was thrown out of the governor’s office.
Exile and a New Life
I returned to Tehran, hoping to start a new life.
But while at a hotel, intelligence agents interrogated me and confiscated my ID.
I was summoned to intelligence multiple times and told to leave the country.
Eventually, I was forced to flee my homeland, my family, and my society.
Thirteen years later, I was finally able to start a new life in a European country.
Conclusion
Yes—meeting Esfandiar Rahim Meshaei destroyed my entire life.
My youth was taken from me, and I came to realize that the members of the Iranian regime lack even a drop of conscience.
I have published the full transcript of what was said—complete, unaltered, and without revealing the person’s name.
The decision is yours.
